Middle School Student Ministry Internship
Position Summary: The Student Ministry Intern works alongside our Student Ministry Staff in fulfilling our vision “to be a welcoming, inviting space where we join Gods movement in the lives of students, having a solid foundation and growing disciples of Jesus.” This position will provide practical, hands-on experience with our regular middle school student programming.
Major Responsibilities: (As Directed by Pastor of Student Ministry)
1. Participate and provide leadership support with Wednesday Evening Middle School Youth Group.
• Welcome and support student engagement as students arrive and throughout evening program.
• As assigned, serve as large group teacher or small group leader.
• Support team with end of the evening clean-up.
2. Participate and provide leadership support for Sunday Morning Middle School Student Classes.
• Welcome and support student engagement. (Relational Ministry)
• On rotation, cover teaching of Sunday class.
3. Attend and participate in our Student Ministry Team Mtgs.
4. Participate in various leadership roles within our Student Ministry Program as directed. (i.e., Teaching, Game Leading, Small Group Leadership, etc.)
5. Attend and participate in scheduled Student Programming Events. (i.e., District Blitz, Challenge, Winter/Fall Retreat, Mission Trips, Project Impact, etc.) as time/scheduling permits.
• Meet with Pastor of Student Ministry and Student Ministry Program Administrator prior to the event to understand and support event planning, preparations, budgeting and execution.
• Serve as Team leader for events when available.
Working Relationships:
1. Accountability – The Student Ministry Intern is accountable directly to the Pastor of Student Ministry.
2. The Student Ministry Program Administrator may also provide counsel and direction for Student Ministry Intern but will not be directly responsible for their leadership.
Personal Qualifications:
1. A mature Christian with a godly character and lifestyle.
2. Passionate about Student Ministry and working with students.
3. Is actively pursuing training and experience in Ministry at Christian University.
4. Has strong administrative ability and organization.
Position Work Schedule:
1. This is a Part Time position designed to fit a Student’s academic scheduling.
2. Hour Expected: 12HRs/WK.

b. Sun AM (4HRs)
c. Remote Work or Other Mtgs (4HRs)
3. A gas allowance will also be provided with internship.
4. Desired Start Date: January 2026
