What are the responsibilities and job description for the Hockey Director position at Lakers Hockey Club Association?
Local High School Hockey program seeking an experienced and passionate Varsity Head Coach for the 2026/2027 fall season. We are rebuilding our program following several seasons with large graduating classes and are looking for a leader committed to developing student-athletes both on and off the ice.
Responsibilities:
- Lead all aspects of the Varsity hockey program
- Plan and conduct practices, games, and team activities
- Foster player development, accountability, and team culture
- Work collaboratively with assistant coaches and the Board of Directors
- Promote sportsmanship, leadership, and a positive competitive environment
Requirements:
- USA Hockey Level 4 Coaching Certification (CEP) or higher
- Current SafeSport Certification
- Completion of all required Age-Specific Modules
- Previous coaching experience at the Midget and/or High School level
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
