Caregiver - Dayshift Weekend

Overview
We are seeking a compassionate, dependable, and dedicated caregiver to join our team. In this role, you will provide essential support and assistance to seniors in need of care, ensuring their comfort, safety, dignity, and overall well-being.

As a caregiver, you will play a vital role in enhancing the quality of life for our residents, many of whom are living with dementia at various stages. We are looking for a strong team player who works well collaboratively as a team of three caregivers work together during the day shift to provide exceptional care and support for our eight residents.

MAIN POINTS

* you must be able to drive to work each scheduled shift, there is no near bus stop.

* you must work well in a team with your colleagues

* you must be compassionate and caring for senior residents with dementia or other medical needs.

* you must have HCA or CNA certification or scheduled exam date.

Available Shift

Available shift schedule is Friday, Saturday and Sunday from 7am - 7pm - Must work all three shifts in a row. Occasional overtime also available for call outs.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care services to clients, including assistance with bathing, grooming, and dressing.
• Observe and report any changes in the patient's condition or behavior to the appropriate healthcare staff.
• Assist with meal preparation and ensure clients receive proper nutrition.
• Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients by performing housekeeping tasks.
• Support clients with mobility and physical activities, including heavy lifting when necessary.
• Administer first aid and CPR as needed in emergency situations.
• Engage clients in social activities to promote mental well-being and companionship.
• Document care provided and maintain accurate records of client progress.

Requirements

• First Aid and CPR certification.
• HCA or CNA or scheduled exam date.
• Dementia and Mental Health Certificate Training required.
• Nurse delegation core and Nurse delegation diabetes required
• Work permit, green card, or citizenship.
• This is a W-2 position, no cash pay.
• Ability to perform heavy lifting as required by client needs.
• Previous experience in home health, group home, or nursing home settings is preferred.
• Strong patient observation skills to monitor client conditions effectively.
• Excellent communication skills and a compassionate demeanor towards clients.
• Commitment to maintaining a clean and organized work environment.
• Must be reliable, punctual, and able to work flexible hours as needed.
