If yes, Lakemary is looking for a Registered Nurse/LPN- PRN for our Children's Residential Service Program. In this role you will work with children and adolescents (ages 6-21) diagnosed with developmental disabilities and co-occurring psychiatric concerns within the residential environment.
Registered Nurse/LPN Responsibilities:
- Provide compassionate driven care.
- Complete health assessments following safety interventions.
- Triaging illness and injury reports
- Implementing and following care plans
- Communicating with parents/guardians, and other relevant community stakeholders
- Intervene in crisis situations, including physical management of residents, using approved crisis management system and skills.
- Complete all documentation by the end of shift.
An ideal candidate for this position has:
- Knowledge of:
- Professional nursing theory and practice.
- Internal working relationships of the facility staff
- Accrediting standards and regulations
- Ability to:
- Administer a nursing care program
- Direct and coordinate the application of nursing care techniques to person’s served situations
- Maintain a helpful and sympathetic attitude toward persons’ served under trying conditions and to maintain harmonious working relationships with professional, paraprofessional, and non-professional employees.
Registered Nurse Qualifications:
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program and either currently licensed or license-eligible as a Registered Nurse or LPN in the State of Kansas.
- Preferred experience working with:
- Children or adolescents
- Intellectual or developmental disabilities
- Psychiatric disorders
- Inpatient or residential setting
- Be at least 18 years of age

Certifications:
- Current Kansas Registered Nurse License or Licensed Practical Nurse License.
