Pay Rate : Min $49,649.60 Mid $57,116.80 Position Summary

The clinic supervisor will be responsible for assisting the operations manager in day to day operations of the clinic. This individual will be responsible for the overall operations and functions of the department and define and provide the necessary support and leadership to achieve department goals and objectives. The clinic supervisor will serve as a key resource for staff in their day to day duties. The individual will facilitate opportunities for improve in the areas of quality care, employee satisfaction, communication, accountability and customer service. The clinic supervisor will assist the operations manager in to supervise the people, processes, and technologies of the department.

Standard Work: Clinic Supervisor MA
  • Actively participates in team development, achieving dashboards, and in accomplishing department goals and objectives. Using a collaborative leadership style, the supervisor will facilitate the achievement of department and hospital –wide quality, safety, satisfaction, and stewardship goals.
  • Coaches employees and focuses on ongoing staff development. Proactively addresses performance and behavioral issues and acts to modify actions and behaviors to facilitate effective relationships and outcomes.
  • Oversees the orientation of new employees, assesses the ongoing competence of all employees and conducts performance appraisals. Schedule and assign new employees and existing team members to ensure workload is met.
  • Responds to complaints, adverse situations, unplanned circumstances or problems. Works to ensure that work is completed efficiently, staffing needs are met, customer/staff satisfaction concerns are addressed appropriately, and expected outcomes are achieved.
  • Actively supports and appropriately applies department and organizational policies. Provides staff education to support change and ongoing development. Consistently demonstrates commitment to personal accountability as well as that of the staff. Consistently demonstrates integrity and fair treatment to staff. Consistently demonstrates the ability to make appropriate judgments and decisions in carrying out daily job duties.
Competencies & Skills

Essential:

  • Analytical report writing or analysis with emphasis on metrics deemed relevant by the operations manager. Solid knowledge of Cerner and Allscripts.
  • Excellent written, analytical, critical thinking skills, communication, organizational, conflict resolution, motivational skills and problem solving skills required. Demonstrates tact, timeliness, coaching, accountability, commitment, leadership to achieve goals, ability to influence others and resource management. Demonstrated ability to interpret and/or analyze statistical data. Working knowledge of Excel and financial spreadsheets.
  • Well experienced with establishing and maintaining physician relationships to achieve the department goals.
  • Able to communicate effectively with wide range of employees, leaders at various levels, physicians and other customers. Communicates proactively to prevent problems and negotiates effectively to resolve conflict.
  • Ability to multitask and flex up to address increases in work load. Must be able to satisfactorily perform each essential function; satisfactorily demonstrate required competencies.
Qualifications & Experience

Essential:

  • High School or Equivalent
Essential:

  • CMA/RMA
Other information:

Experience Essential:
- At least 3 years experience in a healthcare related field or related department with a proven record of professional growth.

Experience Preferred:
- At least 3 years of leadership experience in a healthcare related field or related department .

Licenses Essential:
- Professional MA certification (CMA, RMA, NCMA, CCMA).
