Pay Rate : Min $81,390.40 Mid $101,732.80 Position Summary

This position provides leadership to the managers and supervisors for the Environmental Services and to evaluate continuously improve services and outcomes for our patients, physicians, staff and visitors. Works with managers and supervisors to provide operational and capital budgeting. The Director is responsible for management of its human, material and financial resources.

Director/Assistant Director Capabilities

  • Maintains patient confidentiality and privacy, and adhere to HIPAA standards.
Standard Work Duties: EVS Director
  • Plans for future resources and programs considering advanced technology, workforce issues, and the external environment. Develop and execute an annual capital budget.
  • Provides leadership to the EOC - Hazardous Waste and materials sub-committee by building a clear vision that provides for individual accountability.
  • Develop strategies and outcomes that are geared to meet or surpass customer and patient expectations.
  • Seeks out new cleaning methods and principles and incorporates them into existing housekeeping practices in order to achieve quality and efficiency improvements.
  • Collaboration with LRH leadership to design and implemented complex changes to LRH's structure and processes to enhance performance and have demonstrated the capacity to manage resistance and break down organizational barriers.
  • HazMat committee leader
  • Performs regular audits to ensure the department is providing “inspection ready” quality at all times.
  • Utilizes IT tools, reports, and metrics to ensure departmental goals are achieved especially related to scheduling, staffing, and quality.
  • Provide leadership and management to staff, provide human resource guidance, ensure safety and industry compliance, and maintain the department’s budgets.
  • Onboard, develop, and retain a team of supervisors and managers that is crucial for a large department to operate effectively.
Competencies & Skills

Essential:

  • Excellent presentation and interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively collaborate with all levels within LRH.
  • Computer Skills should include MS Office Tools and ability to run reports and dashboards critical for decision making.
Qualifications & Experience

Essential:

  • Bachelor Degree

Other information:
EXPERIENCE:

Preferred: Healthcare management preferred
Required: Minimum of 5-7 years in a technical/professional role with increasing leadership responsibility. 8 – 10 years minimum in Management

LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION:
Preferred: CHESP/FACHE
