Position Summary
In addition to professional/technical duties, performs collateral supervisory duties, including coaching and mentoring, collaborating with and motivating staff, leading by example, performance evaluation and development, counseling, rounding and conflict management. Responsible for the oversight of his/her assigned Team. Coordinates and collaborates with all healthcare team members for the best possible patient care experience. Delegates effectively to appropriate team members and takes responsibility for the outcome/results. Promotes and participates in activities that demonstrate the achievement of patient, customer and employee safety and satisfaction.

Essential:
- Must be able to perform essential job functions and satisfactorily demonstrate the required competencies in the care of patients, including department specific and age specific competencies.
- Current knowledge of the nursing role and scope of practice as defined by Florida Professional Regulations as well as the responsibilities of the other assistive personnel.
- Excellent skills in communication and resolution conflict. Demonstrates tact, timeliness, coaching, accountability, commitment, leadership to achieve goals, ability to influence others and resource management.
Qualifications & Experience
- High School or Equivalent
- Graduate of an approved Practical Nursing program. Must attend department specific bi-annual training. Must complete LRH management training within the first six months in role.
- Basic Cardiac Life Support
Licenses Essential: Current active license as a Licensed Practical Nurse in the State of Florida.
