Position Summary
Responsible for daily activities within the Receiving and Supply Distribution process. Receiving duties including routine clerical duties such as documenting the receipt of items ordered, making deliveries, and researching/resolving receipt discrepancies. Identifies opportunities to contribute to the improvement of quality, safety and cost within the organization as well as to patients, customers, and employee satisfaction.

- Standard Work Duties: Medical Logistics Technician
- Matches delivery slips, packing lists, and receiving reports with items received on a daily basis and checks the accuracy of the in-coming product against the packing slip.
- Delivers supplies and is responsible for scanning badges and obtaining signatures for all items delivered to the requesting departments reducing proof of Delivery inquiries.
- Verifies deliveries with included packing documents to ensure correct item, quantities and units of measure have been received. Reports any shortages or discrepancies to Purchasing Assistant or Supervisor for resolution.
- Processes all regular, certified, bulk and pre-sort outgoing mail through the postage meter on the same day received and records postage usage amounts daily. Sorts and distributes all incoming mail, hospital and in-patient mail each shift. Monitors balance in bulk and prepaid meter accounts weekly to ensure funds are available when needed.
- Transports/distributes all inter-departmental mail so that mail delivery is continuous and orderly. Assists in coordinating deliveries with external courier including but not limited to supplies, documents and lab test as needed.
- Ensures shipping and storage areas are organized and cleaned at the end of each shift. Responsible for ensuring all equipment, pallet jacks and carts are charged and cleaned daily.
- Demonstrates knowledge and use of all equipment and systems/technology necessary to complete duties and responsibilities. Answers telephone in a professional manner and takes action as appropriate.
- Assists in the shipment of outbound merchandise when needed.
Essential:
- Demonstration of general clerical skills including typing, computer skills, sorting, matching, etc.
- Excellent communications and positive customer service skills. Demonstration of teamwork skills, time management and organizational skills.
- Working knowledge of warehouse and inventory process including automated inventory systems.
Qualifications & Experience
- High School or Equivalent
- Class E Florida Driver's License
