- Collect documents to be scanned as directed, prepping as per protocol
- File daily work and place work for shredding as it ages according to established protocols
- Locates and sends archived charts to requesting physicians/department, using computer to track chart inquires and to access other pertinent information
- Process printed and faxed results every two hours; this involves scanning or importing, indexing, and tasking results to provider
- Sorts mail and delivers to appropriate locations
- Protects the security of medical records to ensure that confidentiality is maintained
- Observes HIPAA compliance in all activities
- Prepare charts for storage
- Demonstrates responsible use of LRH's resources including people, finances, equipment and facilities.
- Knows and adheres to organizational and department policies and procedures.
Essential:
- Knowledge of medical records and work procedures.
- Knowledge of computer applications.
- Basic typing skills.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Ability to establish and maintain courteous and professional working relationship with other staff and patients.
Qualifications & Experience
- High School or Equivalent
- Associate Degree
- Business or Healthcare Administration
