What are the responsibilities and job description for the Mammography Technologist position at Lakeland Premier Women's Clinic?
Lakeland Premier Women's Clinic is excited to begin preparing for growth! We are seeking two positions, to begin to prepare for expansion of our radiology department. The appropriate candidates would work currently besides our team lead of our Mammography Department, as we plan for expansion and growth. This person would facilities in accordance with procedural requirements; calibrates equipment as required by the institution. Therefore, we are hiring two positions, one full time for the right qualifications, and one PT or PRN position to have to cover all areas as needed. Potentially could be a sign on bonus for the right qualifications.
Essential Job Responsibilities:
- Respond to patient questions and concerns regarding exam procedures and process; has patient sign waiver if necessary.
- Understands and uses correct exposure factors, compression and angulation in order to produce high quality images.
- Determines if the procedure was sufficient, or if additional imaging procedures are needed;
- Provides images, data analysis, and patient information to the physician for diagnostic interpretation.
- Responsible for performing tasks that are within the scope of his/her educational preparation, knowledge, and permitted by the policies and procedures of Supplemental Health Care, and other local, state, and federal guidelines; and the policies of the facility requesting the services.
Education: Graduate of an accredited school of Radiology Technology with specialized Mammography training/certification or four year degree.
Experience: Minimum of two years of experience and a valid state radiology registration as required by state law.
Other Requirements: Registered with the American Registry for Radiology Technicians. Mammography certification required
