We are seeking a Shop Supervisor to lead and support our production floor operations. This role is key to ensuring quality, efficiency, and a culture of accountability as we continue to grow and refine our processes.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Leadership & Supervision
- Provide daily direction, support, and coaching to production team members across fabrication, welding, assembly, and finishing departments.
- Coordinate with Sales, Engineering, and Purchasing to align production priorities with customer deadlines.
- Promote a safe, respectful, and team-oriented work environment.
- Shop Management
- Oversee daily shop floor operations, ensuring adherence to production schedules, quality standards, and safety protocols.
- Monitor workflow and labor utilization; identify and resolve bottlenecks to improve throughput.
- Utilize M1 ERP system for scheduling, work order tracking, job costing and monitoring overall production efficiency.
- Quality & Continuous Improvement
- Ensure work is performed according to company quality standards.
- Partner with Engineering to address non-conformances, rework, and scrap issues, using reason codes and root-cause analysis.
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives to reduce waste, improve process flow, and optimize equipment usage.
- People & Culture
- Train, mentor, and cross-train employees to build a flexible and capable workforce.
- Encourage professional development and support employee growth opportunities.
- Conduct performance reviews in alignment with company standards and values.
- Manage timekeeping, attendance and performance evaluations for shop staff.
Education and/or Experience
- 5 years of experience in metal fabrication, precision sheet-metal, or related manufacturing environments.
- 2 years in a leadership, lead, or supervisory role preferred.
- Strong understanding of fabrication processes such as laser cutting, CNC punch, press brake, welding, powder coating, and assembly preferred.
- Familiarity with ERP/MRP systems (experience with M1 is a plus).
- Working knowledge of ISO 9001:2015 or other quality management systems.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to balance hands-on shop support with supervisory responsibilities.
- Basic computer skills (Microsoft Office 365)

Salary : $75,000 - $85,000
