What you'll need:
- CVT certification preferred but if you've got solid hands-on experience as a veterinary technician, we'd love to talk with you too!
- Broad knowledge of animal science, basic pharmacologyand strong math skills for accurate dosing
- Confidence in handling and restraint
- A focus on patient safety, communicationand teamwork
- Strong computer and recordkeeping skills (Avimark experience a plus)
- Comfort with anesthesia, dentistryand radiology (or eagerness to learn)
- Ability to adapt quickly and stay calm in a fast-paced environment
- Compassion, professionalism and a genuine love of learning
- Venipuncture and IV catheter placement
- In-house lab testing and diagnostics
- Radiology and laser therapy
- Surgical prep and assistance
- Dentistry and dental radiographs
- Pre- and post-op care
- Anesthesia and cardiac monitoring
