Duties
- Operate and maintain golf course groundskeeping equipment, ensuring optimal performance and safety.
- Perform landscape maintenance tasks such as mowing, walk mowing, weeding, edging, raking, aerating, and watering to promote healthy turf and vibrant landscaping.
- Conduct manual handling tasks including heavy lifting of soil, mulch, or equipment parts to support landscaping projects.
- Use hand tools and power tools safely for routine groundskeeping activities while adhering to all safety guidelines.
- Operate utility vehicles for transportation of equipment, supplies, or personnel around the golf course property.
Qualifications
- Prior experience in golf course groundskeeping, landscape maintenance, or athletic field groundskeeping is preferred.
- Knowledge of irrigation systems, lawn care practices, and horticulture principles.
- Ability to operate ground maintenance and landscaping equipment safely and efficiently; familiarity with chainsaws and power tools is a plus.
- Strong manual handling skills with the physical ability for heavy lifting and prolonged outdoor work in varying weather conditions.
- Understanding of power tool safety protocols and routine equipment maintenance procedures.
- Valid driver’s license with experience operating company vehicles or similar machinery preferred.
- Excellent attention to detail with a proactive approach to landscape care and turf management.
- Ability to follow safety guidelines diligently while working independently or as part of a team.
