Job Title: Maintenance Technician (Level I)

Job Summary: The Maintenance Technician (Level I) assists in performing scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on rides, equipment, and facilities to ensure safe and reliable operation. This entry-level technical role supports preventive, predictive, emergency, and cosmetic maintenance activities while maintaining compliance with all company policies and regulatory requirements. The Maintenance Technician (Level I) works under the direction of senior maintenance staff to help maximize safety, efficiency, and operational uptime.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Assist senior Maintenance Technicians with daily pre-opening inspections of rides and attractions.
  • Help maintain accurate documentation for daily, weekly, monthly, and annual ride inspections and preventive maintenance records.
  • Support inspections, troubleshooting, and repairs for rides, mechanical systems, and park facilities.
  • Assist in performing preventive and predictive maintenance tasks.
  • Respond to unplanned maintenance issues and support timely corrective action.
  • Follow all safety procedures and regulatory requirements when working on equipment.
  • Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas in a clean and organized condition.
  • Assist other departments as needed to support overall park operations.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications (Education & Experience):

  • High school diploma or GED preferred.
  • Coursework or enrollment in a maintenance, mechanical, electrical, or technical field is a plus.
  • Minimum of one year in a Maintenance Technician role (or equivalent experience at another facility), or demonstrated strong work ethic and attendance within the organization.
  • Valid driver's license with a satisfactory driving record required.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Basic knowledge of repair and maintenance techniques.
  • Willingness to learn troubleshooting and mechanical diagnostic skills.
  • Ability to follow technical instructions and work from schematics or maintenance manuals.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and work independently when required.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong work ethic, integrity, and accountability.
  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities and operational needs.
  • Team-oriented mindset with the ability to work in public and behind-the-scenes environments.
  • Willingness to work overtime, weekends, and holidays as required.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to lift, push, pull, and carry up to 75 lbs. consistently, with heavier lifting occasionally required.
  • Frequent bending, twisting, stretching, stooping, and overhead reaching.
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods on hard or uneven surfaces.
  • Ability to work at heights up to 140 feet and in potentially hazardous environments.
  • Ability to work extended shifts (up to 18 hours in certain operational situations).
  • Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions and temperatures.
  • Ability to work with chemicals and cleaning agents safely.

  • Properly use required personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Comply with all company, local, state, and federal safety regulations.
  • Immediately report unsafe conditions or equipment concerns to supervision.

Salary : $12 - $16
