Duties
- Greet patients warmly upon arrival, ensuring a positive first impression and smooth check-in process
- Schedule, confirm, and coordinate hygiene appointments using Eaglesoft
- Manage patient records with meticulous attention to clinical confidentiality policies and HIPAA compliance
- Verify insurance coverage
- Review documentation for accuracy and completeness, ensuring proper coding for procedures and care plans
- Handle phone communication with professionalism, providing clear information about appointment times and clinic policies
- Support medical administrative functions such as filing, data entry (including 10 key typing), and maintaining organized medical records
- Assist with collection by processing payments and following up on outstanding balances
- Collaborate with clinical staff to ensure seamless patient flow and excellent customer service throughout the clinic experience
Qualifications
- Proven experience in a dental office setting or dental front desk role with strong clerical skills
- Familiarity with Eaglesoft
- Knowledge of dental insurance processes
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly phone etiquette and professional demeanor
- Strong computer skills including proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and electronic health records management
- Bilingual abilities are a plus to serve diverse patient populations effectively
- Experience working in a clinical environment with understanding of HIPAA regulations and clinical confidentiality policies
- Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced setting
