POSITION SUMMARY
The Corporate Controller will serve as a subject matter expert in real estate accounting and reporting, bringing deep industry knowledge and expertise with Yardi systems. This role oversees the full accounting cycle, ensuring the integrity of financial data, compliance with GAAP, regulatory standards, and company policies, while providing strategic financial insights to support company growth.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBIILTIES
Leadership & Oversight
· Direct and manage all accounting operations, including corporate, property-level, fixed asset, and construction project accounting.
· Oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes, ensuring accurate and timely consolidated financial statements.
· Oversee treasury operations, cash management, and banking relationships.
· Lead, mentor, and develop the accounting team, fostering a high-performance culture focused on professional growth, accountability, and continuous improvement.
Compliance & Process Improvement
· Oversee tax, compliance, and audit activities in coordination with external advisors; implement recommendations to strengthen internal controls and improve accuracy.
· Maintain and refine accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls to align with best practices.
· Drive process and system improvements, with an emphasis on maximizing Yardi capabilities and efficiencies.
Strategic & Operational Support
· Partner with the Vice President of Finance to provide financial insights, trend analysis, and scenario modeling to support data-driven business decisions.
· Collaborate with leadership team to develop and align budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning with company objective.
· Provide timely financial reporting and insights to support Asset Management, Property Management, Construction Project Management and Operations teams.
· Support acquisitions, dispositions, and other growth initiatives.
· Collaborate with external auditors, tax advisors, lenders, and investors.
· Perform other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION &/OR EXPERIENCE
· Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required; CPA strongly preferred.
· 10 years of progressive accounting experience, with 5 years in a leadership role.
· Commercial real estate industry experience required; strong background in construction accounting, including job cost reporting, WIP schedules, contract compliance, and project cost tracking, preferred.
· Expertise with Yardi Voyager required.
· Strong technical accounting knowledge including GAAP, real estate accounting, internal controls, and compliance).
· Demonstrated success leading teams through growth, change, and continuous improvement
· Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.

FLSA Status: Exempt
Position Location: Bellevue, WA
Salary Range: $150,000 - $175,000, depending on experience.
Bonus: Eligible for an annual discretionary bonus.
