Lake Viking Marine – Parts Counter Associate / Parts Manager

Lake Viking Marine is the only full-service boat dealership in the Greater Kansas City area located directly on the water. We are a busy, established marine dealership with one of the region's leading full-service departments, and we're looking for the right person to join our team.

We are currently hiring for a full-time Parts Counter Associate or Parts Manager, depending on experience and qualifications.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Forecast parts needs and order parts to maintain appropriate inventory levels
• Monitor current inventory and manage obsolete or slow-moving parts
• Receive, label, organize, and distribute parts promptly upon arrival
• Track outstanding orders, backorders, returns, and credits, and follow up as needed
• Price parts appropriately to maintain department profitability
• Assist customers in identifying and purchasing the correct parts
• Work closely with the service department to ensure parts are available for scheduled repair jobs
• Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient parts department

Secondary Responsibilities:

• Cross-train in service writing
• Cross-train in warranty administration
• Assist with checking boats in for service
• Assist with boat movement, pickup, and delivery by land or water as needed

Desired Qualifications:

• 1 year of parts department experience preferred
• 1 year of supervisory or management experience preferred for Parts Manager candidates
• Strong mechanical aptitude required
• Ability to manage multiple competing priorities in a fast-paced environment required
• Strong organizational and customer service skills
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record required
• Boating and/or trailer towing experience preferred
• Experience with Lightspeed preferred
• Marine, automotive, powersports, or similar industry experience is a plus
