Lake Superior Warehousing has an exciting opportunity in the transportation and warehousing field and is looking for a qualified individual to fill the role of Accounting Associate for our Duluth MN office.
The ideal candidate for this position must have the ability to multi-task to manage multiple priorities and deadlines. The candidate should possess strong organizational skills, strong problem-solving skills and keen attention to detail. The individual should be highly motivated, functioning well both within a team and independently. It is imperative that the candidate be a quick learner. This position provides administrative support to the Director of Finance.
Responsibilities
• Payroll processing, review, enter and process payroll
• Accounts payable review and entry
• Accounts receivable- prepare and process invoices, apply payments and assist in Collections
• Credit card processing- assist in collecting receipts, process monthly transactions
• Data entry for job inventories
• Evaluate cost vs revenue
• Sort, file and log documents as necessary
• Input data from various sources (WMS to Financial software)
• Other duties as assigned
-Basic Qualifications
• High School degree or equivalent
• AP/AR work experience
• Proficiency in Microsoft office suite programs and database software
• Ability to consistently be accurate, thorough, and detailed
• Have strong verbal and written communication
• Have excellent customer service skills
• Must be able to multi-task & prioritize
• Provide excellent day to day support and problem solve
Desired Skills
• Associates degree in Accounting
• 3 year AP/AR, Payroll and/ or billing clerk
• Proficient in Excel
• Sage 100 contractor experience
Hours: Normal hours are M-F 8-5
Lake Superior Warehousing offers a competitive total compensation package. In addition to base pay, benefits include health, vacation and 401k. This is a full time-salaried position. Pay based on experience 45K-55K. LSW is a safety sensitive working environment. Candidates must pass background and drug tests.
