Job Description
This position exists to ensure that the LSC Store offers its stakeholders high quality customer service by providing friendly and accurate information and professional services along with the use of appropriate electronic resources to assist customers. This position has primary responsibility for the sales floor of the LSC Store. This position works directly with people form diverse racial, ethnic and socioeconomic backgrounds and fully supports the College’s commitment to equity and inclusion.
Salary Range:
$20.32 - $24.75
Minimum Qualifications
- English sufficient to speak, read, understand and respond to written and spoken communications with customers
- Math skills sufficient to add, subtract, multiply, divide, count, total, make change, and monitor accounts accurately
- Ability to develop and maintain electronic spreadsheets sufficient to enter and retrieve data and create formulas
- Ability to use customer service skills on the phone, in person and online to provide effective general and specialized office support. Customer service skills sufficient to provide calm and courteous service.
- Ability to adjust to changing stress levels during high volume times
- Ability to move items weighing up to 25 pounds on a regular basis
- Ability to work in a seated or standing position for extended periods of time
Preferred Qualification
- Demonstrated ability to work successfully with persons from diverse backgrounds, and commitment to diversity and inclusion initiatives.
- Higher education or MinnState experience
- Prior sales experience
- The experience, organizational, and personal skills necessary to perform assigned work independently, efficiently, and in a timely manner, and to problem-solve, plan, communicate, and prioritize work
Work Shift (Hours / Days of work)
8:00am - 4:30pm / Monday - Friday
