Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Deli Manager to oversee daily operations within our bustling food service environment. Duties
- Lead and supervise deli staff, including hiring, training, and evaluating team members to ensure high performance and excellent customer service.
- Oversee food preparation processes, ensuring quality standards are met consistently while adhering to food safety regulations.
- Manage inventory control, including ordering supplies, stock rotation, and minimizing waste to optimize profitability.
- Ensure proper food handling procedures are followed in compliance with health regulations.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the deli area, kitchen, and storage spaces.
- Monitor shift management to ensure smooth operations during busy hours while maintaining high standards of service quality.
- Assist in developing staff training programs focused on culinary skills, food safety, hospitality management, and customer service excellence.
- Collaborate with management on budgeting, menu planning, and operational improvements to enhance overall performance.
Experience
- Proven experience in food service management in an actual deli
- Strong background in food preparation, culinary techniques, and kitchen management.
- Demonstrated supervisory experience with team management responsibilities including interviewing and training staff.
- Experience in inventory control, budgeting, and food safety protocols is essential.
- Background in hospitality management or hotel experience is a plus.
- Prior experience in managing restaurant operations with a focus on customer service excellence is highly desirable.
