What are the responsibilities and job description for the Tutor - Lake Ridge Indiana Learns position at Lake Ridge New Tech Schools?
Performance Responsibilities: The Tutor will provide additional academic support for Lake Ridge Elementary and/or Middle School students by working with small groups (1–4 students) on high-priority ELA and/or math instruction. All curriculum and materials will be provided by the school’s Instructional Coaches.Requirements:Certified Teacher, or at minimum, ability to support student development in ELA and/or math skills and standards and meet one of the following requirements:At least a two-year college degree;Passed the Parapro assessment (within the first year of employment);One year or 1,000 hours of previous employment experience in a school or working with children;Passed annual school-level evaluations;Successfully completed 48 hours of college level classes;Has a Child Development Associate (CDA) credential; orOther requirements approved by IDOE.Responsibilities include:Commit to 3-4 hours of Tutoring Blocks per day, 4-5 days per week (12 to 20 hrs per week)Preparation of materials for tutoring sessions that may include manipulatives and other hands-on materialsTrack and monitor individual student participation and learningRegular communication with classroom teachers, building administrators and parents about student progressSupervision of small groups (1-4) of students during the tutoring blockAdditional Information: This is a P/T grant funded position and runs through the length of the grant period, April 10, 2026.
