Lake Regional Health System is seeking a professional, detail-orientated Education Coordinator to join our Family Birth Center department.
What Are We Looking For?
The Family Birth Center Education Coordinator assesses, plans, develops, implements and evaluates comprehensive education programs to meet the orientation and ongoing competency needs and professional development needs of the Nursing Department. Leadership and staff also assist with organizational education needs.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Collaborates with nurse managers and staff to assess learning needs and competencies.
- Develops, implements, and evaluates educational plans/programs and utilizes methods, measurements, and tools to evaluate the achievement of learning goals.
- Identifies and/or develops teaching tools and instructional materials.
- Keeps records of educational activities and prepares reports.
- Applies the existing body of evidence-based practice and scientific knowledge in health care to nursing practice, ensuring that nursing care is delivered based on patients’ age-specific needs and clinical needs as described in the department's Scope of Service.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION
- RN required
- Bachelor's degree preferred
