POSITION: PT Food Service - Baker/Desserts

LOCATION: Devils Lake, ND

TYPE OF APPOINTMENT: This is a part-time, non-benefitted, working approximately 19 hours/week.

BACKGROUND CHECK: LRSC does require a successful background check for the selected candidate prior to beginning employment.

JOB SUMMARY: We are looking for a dependable and creative Part-Time Baker to prepare desserts for our lunch and evening meals.

What You’ll Be Making

You will have the opportunity to make a variety of desserts, including:

• Cakes
• Cookies
• Pies
• Puddings
• Bars and other baked goods
• Your own dessert ideas!

We welcome creativity and are happy to work with you on desserts that you enjoy making.

Flexible Hours

We offer flexible scheduling to fit your availability.

You may choose to:

• Bake items ahead of time and freeze them for later use, or
• Come in each morning and prepare fresh desserts.

Our kitchen opens at 6:00 a.m., so you can choose a morning start time that works for you, as long as the dessert is prepared and ready by 10:45 a.m.

We serve meals at 11:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m.

What We’re Looking For

The ideal candidate is someone who:

• Enjoys baking and preparing desserts
• Is dependable and able to work independently
• Can plan ahead and manage their time
• Takes pride in the appearance and quality of their desserts
• Is willing to be creative and try different recipes
• Maintains a clean and organized work area

Experience is preferred but not required for the right person.

SALARY: $17.00 - $20.00 per hour depending on experience.
