Lake Region High School seeks an organized, flexible, energetic teacher able to work well in a fast-paced collegial environment.
In addition to Maine certification (100-English/Language Arts), the ideal candidate possesses knowledge of and experience with:
Maine Learning Results standards for implementation in standards-driven curriculum, instruction, assessment, and reporting practices
Backwards planning curriculum design
Effective classroom management strategies, including establishing routines and procedures at the start of the school year
Implementing interventions and utilizing the RTI process (BARR)
Integrating technology tools to enhance teaching, learning, assessment, and communication
Effective communication strategies for discussing students’ progress and interpreting the school curriculum and expectations with student homes
Implement differentiation strategies in heterogeneously grouped classes
Experience teaching and/or co-teaching Humanities, 10th grade English
