What are the responsibilities and job description for the Registered Nurse - Procedure/Outpatient position at Lake Region Healthcare?
The purpose of this position is to provide nursing care to patients. The framework for practice will be the nursing process in order to prescribe, delegate and coordinate nursing care. The RN must be able to supervise others as assigned including LPN’s, nursing assistants, clerks, and students. The RN has contact with patients, patient families and visitors, PRHHS employees, referral agencies, volunteers, administration, and physicians. Effective interpersonal and communication skills are essential for this position. The RN must be able to provide patient care, secure cooperation from others, problem-solve, and exercise initiative and judgment.
The RN practices in accordance with the Minnesota Nurse Practice Act, professional nursing standards, and LRHC policies and procedures. This role requires sound clinical judgment, strong interpersonal skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively to ensure safe, comprehensive, and compassionate patient care.
Shifts
72 hours biweekly, 8am to 4:30pm, 8-hour day shifts.
Compensation
Hourly Wage Range: $38.06-$56.70/hour. Please note that final compensation will be determined based on experience, qualifications and internal equity considerations.

- Education/Special Skills: This position requires the incumbent to be a graduate of an accredited school of nursing with current Registered Nurse licensure in Minnesota and BLS certification. Willingness to be certified in ACLS within the first year of employment.
- Successful completion of the pre-employment health screening.
- Reliable attendance and ability to work at the clinic site as scheduled, including travel to other clinic sites.
- Ability to communicate effectively in English, both orally and in writing.
- The RN delegates and supervises nursing care consistent with professional standards and the scope of practice as defined by the Minnesota Board of Nursing
