Dietary Aide - Elbow Lake

The Dietary Aide is responsible for complete preparation and distribution of patient and employee meals. Duties include, but are not limited to, delivering patient trays, assisting Cook with preparing meals mainly on grill and fryer for cafe service, performing cash register transactions, and assisting with grocery deliveries. Staff must have complete knowledge in all areas of the kitchen and be prepared to perform all duties as requested by the Dietary Site Manager.

Department Description

Knowledge in safe and proper food handling is helpful but not required. All of the important and detailed skills needed to be a competent food service professional will be learned during the training process. Hours/Shifts
64 hours biweekly, Day shifts

Compensation
Hourly Wage Range: $16.82-$21.53/hour Please note that final compensation will be determined based on experience, qualifications and internal equity considerations.

• Education/Special Skills: High school diploma or equivalent preferred. ServSafe certification or MN Department of Health Food Manager’s certificate preferred or willingness to successfully complete ServSafe certification course. Six (6) months related experience preferred. Ability to follow oral and written instructions accurately. Ability to interact with patients, physicians, employees, and guests.
• Should have some knowledge in modified diets and have high standard of sanitation, neatness and cleanliness
• Must be able to attend the work site per schedule.
• Successful completion of the pre-employment health screening process required.
• Must be able to handle multiple priorities in a calm, productive manner.
