Minimum Qualifications:


  • Associates degree required, preferably in Theater or Technical Theater.
  • Expertise and knowledge in theater, drama, performing arts groups including: staging,lighting, sound, etc.
  • Experience with counterweight stage rigging
  • Must have experience in organizing, scheduling, and planning events in a performance art setting.
  • Experience with Midas M32 Digital Mix Board and ETC Ion XE preferred.
  • QLab 5 Experience preferred
  • Experience working with students preferred
  • Must have strong communication skills.
  • Must have demonstrated a positive attitude.
  • Must be able to multi-task.
  • Must have demonstrated strong interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities:


  • Schedule activities in the Arts Center according to policies and procedures established by the school’s administration and Board of Education.
  • Report on a regular basis to the school administration on the facility’s usage and currently planned activities.
  • Coordinate program scheduling with other areas of the school (athletic activities avoid conflicts due to parking, noise, activity, equipment usage, rentals, outside vendors, etc.)
  • Design scenery and create build drawings for LOHS Theater productions
  • Maintain lighting and sound equipment at other LOCS buildings
  • Function as Technical Director for all in-house productions including training student sound and light crews, scheduling and running technical rehearsals, attending set builds, and maintaining an overall calendar/schedule for all technical aspects of the production including scenery, costumes, lighting and props.
  • Maintain the organization and function of all technical equipment in the auditorium.
  • Schedule all LOCS and external (rental) events in the LOHS Auditorium wing using Operations Hero
  • Serve as primary contact for all Auditorium rental events, overseeing all scheduling, event execution and billing
  • Position will require some nights and weekends onsite.
  • All other duties as assigned by immediate supervisor.
