What are the responsibilities and job description for the Coaching Freshman Volleyball Head Coach position at Lake Orion High School?
Position is seasonal; depending on applicant status position may be hired through a third party vendor
- Previous volleyball coaching and/or playing experience preferred
- Knowledge of volleyball fundamentals, rules, techniques, and game strategy
- Ability to teach and develop student-athletes at the freshman level
- Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with varsity and junior varsity coaching staff
- Commitment to sportsmanship, teamwork, and student development
- Ability to supervise and motivate high school student-athletes
- CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Completion of required state athletic coaching certifications and background checks
- Experience working with adolescents in an educational or athletic setting preferred
- Ability to maintain positive relationships with students, parents, staff, and officials
