Responsibilities
- Efficiently wash, rinse, and sanitize dishes, glassware, utensils, pots, pans, and kitchen equipment to uphold health and safety standards.
- Assist with basic tasks as needed, including organizing supplies and ingredients for kitchen staff.
- Support banquet and catering events by providing timely dishwashing services to ensure smooth event operations.
- Maintain cleanliness of the dishwashing area, including sinks, counters, and storage spaces, adhering to sanitation protocols.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure all food service areas are well-stocked with clean utensils and dishware.
- Handle food handling responsibilities responsibly by following proper hygiene practices and safety guidelines.
- Contribute to overall kitchen cleanliness through sweeping, mopping, waste disposal, and other cleaning duties.
Requirements
- Prior experience in food service or restaurant environments is preferred but not mandatory; enthusiasm to learn is essential.
- Knowledge of food handling safety standards and sanitation procedures.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive cleaning tasks efficiently.
- Strong attention to detail with a focus on cleanliness and organization.
- Excellent teamwork skills with a positive attitude toward supporting colleagues in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience with bussing tables or assisting in catering or banquet settings is a plus.
- Familiarity with kitchen equipment and basic cooking or food preparation skills is advantageous.
- Must be able to lift stacked plates above shoulder height.
- Must be able to walk with and lift 50lbs. or more while using safe lifting techniques.
- Previous hotel or hospitality experience can be beneficial but is not required. Pay: $14.05 per hour
