E‑Bike Technician ( Sales Support as needed) Part-Time
Location: 19911 Zion Avenue, D-3, Cornelius, NC
Schedule: 30 hours/week | 5 days a week | Saturdays required
Pay: $16–$18/hr
Lake Norman E‑Bikes is seeking an experienced E‑Bike Technician with strong customer service skills. This role is ideal for a motivated bike mechanic who enjoys working in a fast‑paced retail environment, able to stay focused on task and has attention to detail. While the hiring position’s focus is repairs, maintenance, and assembly of e-bikes, the store is focused on providing customers an exceptional experience with service, sales, and rentals and would be required to help in all areas of store as needed.
Key Responsibilities
- Diagnose, service, and repair electric bikes
- Prepare rental bikes (battery swaps, cleaning, explaining operation to customers)
- Communicate service needs and solutions clearly and professionally
- Break down bike boxes for recycling and trash disposal in dumpsters
- Assist customers with bike fitting, accessory swaps, test rides, rentals, and sales
- Support other in‑store operations as needed
Qualifications
- Mechanical aptitude with bike repair experience required (e‑bike experience a plus)
- 1 year customer service experience
- Strong time management and multitasking skills
- Ability to lift at least 60lbs off ground and ride a bicycle
- Availability to work Saturdays is a must
