Grain Elevator Operator - CDL Truck Driver

Lake Norden Farmers Elevator is seeking a dependable, self-motivated individual to join our team as a Grain Elevator Operator / CDL Truck Driver. This full-time position is ideal for someone who enjoys a variety of work, takes pride in maintaining equipment, and values providing excellent service to our customers. Responsibilities include grain handling, facility operations, equipment maintenance, feed deliveries, and over-the-road truck driving.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Load and unload grain trucks safely and efficiently.
• Receive, handle, transfer, store, and ship grain.
• Grade grain samples and maintain grain quality standards.
• Operate grain handling equipment, including conveyors, legs, and dryers.
• Perform routine maintenance and repairs on grain handling equipment, trucks, buildings, and facilities.
• Assist with preventative maintenance and maintain a clean, safe work environment.
• Operate company trucks for local feed deliveries and occasionally over-the-road grain hauling as needed.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections and maintain required CDL documentation.
• Provide friendly, professional customer service while assisting customers with grain deliveries, feed orders, and general inquiries.
• Work closely with team members to ensure efficient daily operations.
• Follow all company safety policies and applicable DOT, OSHA, and governmental regulations.
• Assist with other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Valid Class A CDL with a clean driving record.
• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Experience in grain handling, agriculture, trucking, or equipment operation is preferred but not required.
• Mechanical aptitude with the ability to perform basic equipment maintenance and repairs.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Dependable, safety-conscious, and willing to work extended hours during harvest and other peak seasons.

Physical Requirements

• Frequently lift up to 75 pounds.
• Ability to climb ladders, bins, and stairs.
• Ability to shovel grain and perform physically demanding work.
• Work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions.
• Stand, walk, bend, and lift throughout the workday.

Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
