Lake Norden Farmers Elevator is seeking a dependable, self-motivated individual to join our team as a Grain Elevator Operator / CDL Truck Driver. Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Load and unload grain trucks safely and efficiently.
- Receive, handle, transfer, store, and ship grain.
- Grade grain samples and maintain grain quality standards.
- Operate grain handling equipment, including conveyors, legs, and dryers.
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on grain handling equipment, trucks, buildings, and facilities.
- Assist with preventative maintenance and maintain a clean, safe work environment.
- Operate company trucks for local feed deliveries and occasionally over-the-road grain hauling as needed.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections and maintain required CDL documentation.
- Provide friendly, professional customer service while assisting customers with grain deliveries, feed orders, and general inquiries.
- Work closely with team members to ensure efficient daily operations.
- Follow all company safety policies and applicable DOT, OSHA, and governmental regulations.
- Assist with other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL with a clean driving record.
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- Experience in grain handling, agriculture, trucking, or equipment operation is preferred but not required.
- Mechanical aptitude with the ability to perform basic equipment maintenance and repairs.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Dependable, safety-conscious, and willing to work extended hours during harvest and other peak seasons.
Physical Requirements
- Frequently lift up to 75 pounds.
- Ability to climb ladders, bins, and stairs.
- Ability to shovel grain and perform physically demanding work.
- Work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions.
- Stand, walk, bend, and lift throughout the workday.
Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
