Position Overview
This role will be shared between:
- Front Desk / Reception duties
- Veterinary Assistant responsibilities in the clinic
Training will be provided, and duties may vary based on clinic needs and scheduling.
Reception Duties Include:
- Greeting clients and patients with warmth and professionalism
- Answering phones, scheduling appointments, and managing client communications
- Checking patients in and out, processing payments, and handling invoices
- Maintaining accurate medical records and client information
- Supporting daily clinic flow and client experience
Veterinary Assistant Duties Include:
- Assisting veterinarians and technicians during exams and procedures
- Safely restraining animals and providing patient comfort
- Preparing exam rooms and cleaning/sterilizing equipment
- Assisting with basic lab work, treatments, and patient care
- Monitoring patients and communicating observations to the medical team
Qualifications:
- Prior veterinary clinic or animal handling experience required
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Comfortable working with animals of all sizes and temperaments
- Dependable, team-oriented, and willing to learn
- Computer and basic office skills
