Duties
- Measure, cut, and install insulation materials such as fiberglass, foam board, spray foam, and mineral wool according to project specifications and blueprints
- Use hand tools like knives, tape measures, and pry bars to prepare insulation components for installation
- Operate power tools including pneumatic guns, drills, and spray equipment safely and efficiently
- Read and interpret construction schematics, blueprints, and technical drawings to ensure precise installation
- Collaborate with carpenters, drywall installers, HVAC technicians, and other trades to coordinate insulation placement within framing or ductwork
- Apply caulking and sealing techniques to ensure airtight insulation systems; perform trim carpentry for finishing touches
- Maintain a clean work environment by organizing materials and disposing of debris properly while adhering to safety standards
Requirements
- Proven experience in construction site environments with knowledge of framing, roofing, masonry, or related trades preferred
- Hands-on experience with hand tools and power tools used in construction and insulation work
- Mechanical aptitude with understanding of HVAC systems, metal stud framing, plastering, stucco application, concrete finishing or masonry is advantageous
- Drivers license, ability to back up a trailer preferred.
- Strong physical stamina with the ability to lift heavy materials and work at heights or in confined spaces safely
- Detail oriented great at clean up and preparation required
