About this position: Responsible for executing components of the corporate internal audit plan, including evaluating LMCU loan products, testing system setup, branch cash and operations, mortgage servicing, new memberships, system reporting and access reviews, and other projects as assigned. Reviews for evidence of fraud, deficiencies in controls, and noncompliance with established policies. Communicates findings and makes recommendations for corrective actions. Provides a level of assurance to senior management and the Board of Directors that the credit union is operating within a framework of safety and soundness. What you’ll do: Assumes responsibility for the effective and accurate execution of various components of the audit plan. Conducts internal audits on all types of consumer and home equity loans to determine compliance with established internal policies, procedures and government regulations. Performs and coordinates mortgage servicing audits and test new loan setup to determine compliance with established procedures. Examines new account and closed account records, procedures and controls for fraud, errors or deficiencies. Identifies and reports discrepancies, errors and other detected problems.
