Receptionist (Environmental Learning Center)
Rate: $12.00 Hourly | Part-Time (Non-Exempt)
Pay Grade: PT | Starting salary based on prior experience and education.
Location: Environmental Learning Center, Concord Twp., OH 44077
Position Description: Under the supervision of the Facilities Manager, the Receptionist is responsible for greeting visitors, answering phones, providing clerical support, assisting volunteers, and supporting daily operations at the Environmental Learning Center. This position assists with calendar management, mailings, rentals, supply ordering, and special event preparation.
Must be flexible to work up to 28 hours per week, including weekends, weekdays, some evenings, and holidays.

Additional responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Greeting visitors and assisting callers and guests.
- Answering phones, taking messages, and checking voicemail.
- Training, coaching, and scheduling volunteers assisting with visitor services.
- Preparing mailings and maintaining appointment calendars.
- Assisting with booking and facilitating rentals.
- Ordering and maintaining supplies.
- Assisting with special event preparation.
- Performing all other duties assigned by supervisor.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Associate degree in business, marketing, travel & tourism, parks & recreation, or related field preferred.
- Experience in administrative, customer service, or visitor services roles preferred.
- Some knowledge of native Ohio wildlife preferred.
- Must be able to work an irregular schedule, including weekends and holidays.
- Must be able to work independently and as part of a team.
- Must be able to operate Park District vehicles and remain insurable under agency policy.
- Pre-employment background check required.
- Proficient with computers, web-based programs, email, and Microsoft Office.
- Experience with database and point-of-sale systems preferred.
