What are the responsibilities and job description for the Metric Inventory Specialist position at Lake Leaf Cultivation?
The Opportunity
The Metrc Inventory Specialist is responsible for using the METRC seed-to-sale electronic tracking system for plant and package tags, product identification, and chain of custody to track cannabis and cannabis products through cultivation, manufacturing, distribution and sale. This position is responsible to help ensure accurate inventories and compliance with Mille Lacs Band and state regulations.
What You Get to Do
- Maintains a documented inventories of plants and packages.
- Verify amount of waste and unusable material.
- Inputs the proper information of issues and returns within Lake Leaf Cultivation.
- Held accountable for the control, accuracy, and thoroughness of all inventory.
- Reconcile inventories and report discrepancies through proper channels.
- Keep management up to date regarding all inventory inflow and outflow.
- Track all inventory movements and changes.
- Assign RFID tags to monitor inventory as it moves through facility.
- Maintains accurate, updated files from affiliated licenses, test labs and vendors.
- Compares inventories to office records or computes figures from records, such as sales orders, production records or purchase invoices, to obtain current inventory.
- Maintains neat, clean work areas, in compliance with safety and sanitation standards.
- Maintains a working knowledge of Lake Leaf facilities and cannabis life cycle from seed to sale.
- Responsible for tracking manufacturing input to output.
- Complies with all relevant tribal and state regulations.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Create, track, and combine METRC packages throughout the extraction and manufacturing process to sale

What Qualifies You (EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:)
- At least two (2) years’ inventory experience.
- Experience with database updating, preferably Metrc
- Intermediate Excel skills
- At least two (2) years’ Microsoft Office application experience
- Experience working with regulations preferred
- Experience reading technical documents preferred
- Supervisory experience preferred
- Must be able to secure license from Regulatory Agency
- Responsible for following all relevant Cannabis Regulations.
- Mille Lacs Band Member and American Indian preference will be exercised in the hiring process.

Work Environment
- Indoor cultivation facility with controlled temperatures and humidity levels.
- Exposure to strong odors and varying noise levels.
- Requires work around plant material, which could include exposure to plant pollen and/or dust.
- Collaborative team environment with communication between multiple departments.
- Adherence to safety protocols to maintain a clean and safe workspace
- Must be able to sit, stand, kneel, use ladders and perform repetitive actions for long periods of time
- Must be able to lift 50 pounds to torso level and carry up a ladder
