Job Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and technically skilled Civil Engineering Technician to join our engineering team. This role involves supporting various civil engineering projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in civil engineering principles, proficiency with CAD software, and experience in construction and land surveying.
Responsibilities
- Assist in project scheduling, planning, and coordination to ensure timely completion of civil engineering projects.
- Prepare detailed schematics, drawings, and plans using AutoCAD, Civil 3D.
- Conduct land surveying and data collection activities to support design and construction phases.
- Support construction management efforts by performing site inspections and ensuring compliance with project specifications.
- Assist in construction estimating and project cost analysis to support budgeting efforts.
- Collaborate with engineers on mechanical knowledge applications relevant to civil projects.
- Support construction inspection activities to verify quality standards are met throughout project execution.
Qualifications
- Proven experience or education in civil engineering or related fields; an associate degree or higher preferred.
- Proficiency with AutoCAD, Civil 3D or willingness to learn.
- Strong understanding of civil engineering principles
- Excellent math skills essential for drafting accuracy and technical calculations.
- Effective technical writing skills for preparing reports and schematics.
- Experience with data collection techniques used in land surveying or environmental monitoring is desirable or willingness to learn.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

Pay: $35.00 - $45.00 per hour
