Assistant Community Manager/Lifestyle Director

Lake Kiowa Property Owners Association (Lake Kiowa, TX) currently has a full-time Lifestyle Director / Assistant Community Manager position available.

Lake Kiowa is a private lake and golf community nestled along the country roads and equestrian farmlands an hour north of the DFW Metroplex. Unique in its location and amenities, this private, gated community offers a country club lifestyle in a relaxed lake setting. In addition to the beautiful lake and beaches, the community offers a challenging and highly manicured golf-course, playgrounds, open spaces, walking trails, a brand new, state-of-the-art pavilion, campgrounds, and the Lodge featuring meeting rooms and a full-service restaurant and bar.

The position would report to the Community Manager and is responsible for performing a wide range of tasks related to developing and implementing a variety of relevant, timely and innovative events, programs, activities, and memorable experiences designed to engage members year-round. This position requires a polished, creative, enthusiastic professional who can provide outstanding customer service while enhancing the quality of life and pride of ownership for members of the community.

Responsibilities:

· Responsible for overall coordination, leadership & success of the Lodge, Communique, Celebration Committee and event coordination at Lake Kiowa.

· Develops, promotes, and executes in-house and off-site events and programs in conjunction with the Celebration Committee

· Attends events and/or meetings, which may occur after-hours or on the weekends.

· Develops promotional strategies for events including writing articles, producing flyers, etc.

· Responsible for overall operations of the Lodge that would include working closely with the Lodge Manager to increase sales through an increase in advanced special event planning and coordination.

· Work with staff on concepts and content for the monthly Communique, which would include optimizing our advertising and marketing message across Lake Kiowa and ensuring that events are published in a timely manner to maintain communication with the community about all events.

· Works with staff on managing the content and activity for the community website.

· Provides input and recommendations for the communications strategy

· Oversees the departmental budget

· Develops relationships with community partners and sponsors

· Assists the Working Chef with the oversight of the Lodge and surrounding amenities

· Implements and adheres to community policies and procedures

· Builds and maintains a professional presence

· Completes all necessary administrative duties required for the included responsibilities

Skills:

· Background in Food & Beverage industry is preferred

· Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in event planning, hospitality, or similar field

· Bachelor’s degree or higher in recreation, hospitality, or similar field preferred

· Sound written and verbal communication skills

· Proven computer skills with an emphasis in areas of website administration and/or social media preferred

· Ability to work independently and as part of a team

· Ability to build rapport with staff, members, volunteers including the Celebration Committee, Board of Directors, and vendors

· Commitment to ongoing professional development

· Demonstrate use of initiative

· Highly developed interpersonal and public speaking skills

· Detail oriented, focused on achieving results

· Excellent time management skills with the ability to be flexible and open to changing priorities and challenges

· Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays

· Ability to work indoors and outdoors in a variety of weather conditions, stand for an extended period of time and lift up to 25 pounds

· Must be able to pass pre-employment background check and drugs screening

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $59,000.00 - $69,000.00 per year
