What are the responsibilities and job description for the Dock Team Member position at Lake Keowee Marina?
Lake Keowee Marina in Seneca, SC is looking to expand our Dock team.
We are a family owned and operated marina located on 150 Keowee Marina Drive. Our ideal candidate is a self-starter, ethical, punctual, and reliable.
Currently looking for:
A crew member with experience working at a marina and / or extensive knowledge of boat operation
Responsibilities (But, not limited to)
- Be accountable for fuel dock, star dock, in water slip and all aspects of customer service / front of house business
- Keep a safe, clean and acceptable work place
- Interact with customers providing the highest levels of customer service
- Watch over boat ramp to assist as needed, collect ramp launch fees
- Maintain and repair all docks, walkways, gangways, fuel dock / deck, equipment as directed by Dock Master or Maintenance Manager
- Summer work will be mostly with fuel dock and rental customers, fall and winter will be small, medium and large projects around the facility
Qualifications
- The desire to work in an environment where most people come to play
- The ability to communicate clearly with staff and customer alike, this is a mid level Management position with potential for promotion to Dock Manager looking at career path.
- Eye for detail and customer satisfaction
- Marina & Boat handling experience preferred
- Desire to succeed and provide a quality service
- Looking for someone with the desire to be trained to be a Dock Master, or to advance in other areas of the marina
- Must be able to work a full shift outdoors and be able to lift items safely
