Lake Howell Family Medicine Associates has an immediate opening for a Certified or Registered Medical Assistant. This is a very busy multi-provider family practice office in Maitland, FL.
As a Medical Assistant you will be responsible for providing clinical support to ensure efficient operation of the medical office. You will support doctors and patients through a variety of tasks related to patient care management, organization and communication. The target is to complete all activities accurately, with high quality and in a timely manner.
Responsibilities
- Interview patients and document basic medical history
- Prepare and clean treatment rooms and medical instruments
- Phlebotomy
- Performing testing such as EKG, Holter, PFT, waived lab testing
- Assisting with minor surgeries
- Calling patients
Skills
- Proven work experience as a medical assistant
- Excellent time management skills
- Social perceptiveness
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Certification in medical assistance
Experience is a plus but newly certified MA's will be considered. You must be able to work well with others in a fast paced environment. You must have great customer service skills and want to give great patient care.
