Position Summary

The Cashier is responsible for providing exceptional customer service while supporting the daily operations of the food and beverage area. This position assists guests with purchases, operates the point-of-sale system, maintains accurate cash handling procedures, and helps ensure a clean, organized, and welcoming environment.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Greet guests in a friendly, professional, and courteous manner.
• Operate the point-of-sale (POS) system and accurately process cash, credit card, and electronic payments.
• Maintain an accurate cash drawer and complete opening and closing cash procedures.
• Take food and beverage orders and assist with serving prepared food items.
• Answer guest questions regarding menu items, campground amenities, and park services.
• Stock food, beverages, condiments, and retail merchandise as needed.
• Maintain clean, organized, and sanitary workstations, dining areas, and service counters.
• Follow all food safety, sanitation, and company policies and procedures.
• Assist with receiving deliveries and organizing inventory.
• Work collaboratively with team members to provide efficient service and an excellent guest experience.
• Perform all other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Previous cashier or customer service experience preferred.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to accurately handle cash and operate a point-of-sale system.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and occasionally lift up to 30 pounds.
• Ability to work flexible schedules, including weekends, holidays, mornings, and evenings.
• Current Food Handler Card required or ability to obtain one within the required timeframe.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time.
• Frequent bending, reaching, lifting, and carrying of supplies and merchandise.
• Ability to occasionally lift and move up to 30 pounds.
• Ability to work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions as needed.
• Ability to perform repetitive motions associated with cashiering and food service duties.
