Clinic Medical Assistant - PRN

Description

PRN (as needed), no guarantee of hours, 8-hour day shift, typically 8am-5pm, must be able to work a flexible shift. Will work with Physician, FNP, PA. Non-Exempt, Hourly, Non-Union

500-hour introductory period, per policy.

Position Summary:

Functions as the medical assistant for Clinic and patients. Maintains supplies and assists professional staff as needed in the clinic.

Requirements

Education:
High school graduate or equivalent.

Licensure/Certification/Registration:
Current CPR Certification required.

Experience:
Previous Medical Assistant or Certified Nursing Assistant experience preferred.

Job Knowledge:
Capable of performing duties as assigned. Must be able to quickly learn skill sets necessary to perform clinical duties.

Skills:
Ability to communicate well with the public. Able to work effectively with team member and use tact and discretion in dealing with varying job situations. Able to maintain strict confidentiality. Able to deliver patient care under Physician supervision and follow verbal and written instructions. Ability to communicate clearly both verbally and in writing. Proficiency in operating Business Office computer programs. Adheres to established Hospital policies and procedures.
