About Us
The Office of Economic Development is seeking applicants for the position of Professional Occupations Intern II for intern level work performing supervised duties for the recruiting, training and case management for the Youth Employment Program (YEP) participants.
This position may be up to one year in duration.
The Youth Employment Program (YEP) provides employment and training services that assist in addressing the educational, job readiness and career exploration goals of Denver youth who are enrolled in the OED-Division of Workforce Development programs. Our goal is to increase basic skills proficiency, job preparedness and post-secondary education services for those youth.
About Our Job
These positions will provide Case Management to youth participants. Case Management will consist of maintaining case files, monitoring of attendance and progress, assisting in problem solving, provide Job Readiness Training classes, collection and distribution if payroll. Interpret, analyze and perform data verification/entry on multiple databases.
Assist in the program recruitment, enrollment eligibility, payroll and orientation process.
Have ability to present and train large groups of prospective enrollees.
Work with budget and payroll.
Attend necessary trainings.
Performs other related duties as assigned.
About You
Completion of two years of college, 60 credit hours, and current enrollment in a college program leading to a Baccalaureate Degree in a Accounting, Finance, Business or related field.
Enrollment must be in a learning institution that is accredited through the Higher Learning Commission.
Transcripts must be provided with application, you may attach, include in the body of the application, or fax- 720-913-5992, attn: OED Occupations Intern Level II. Applications that do not include the transcript will not be considered
All Intern positions require the applicant to have the ability to travel, work some evenings and Saturdays. Positions are part time- 20-24 hours per week.
