Veterinary Assistant / Technician – Exam Rooms
Lake Hartwell Veterinary Clinic is looking for an experienced, reliable Veterinary Assistant or Technician for an exam-room focused position.
Responsibilities
- Assist veterinarians with appointments and patient care
- Obtain thorough and accurate patient histories
- Safely handle and restrain dogs and cats
- Confidently draw blood
- Assist with vaccines, treatments, and diagnostics
- Collect and process laboratory samples
- Maintain accurate medical records
- Communicate veterinary recommendations and follow-up instructions to clients
- Keep exam rooms clean, stocked, and organized
- Work efficiently and cooperatively with the entire team
Required
- Veterinary assistant/technician experience
- Must be competent with blood draws
- Strong animal handling and restraint skills
- Understanding of vaccine protocols and parasite prevention
- Excellent communication and client-service skills
- Reliable and punctual
- Team player with a positive attitude
- Able to multitask in a busy veterinary environment
- Ability to walk and stand all day
- Ability to lift a minimum of 50 pounds

Pay: $14.00 - $23.00 per hour
Expected hours: 30.0 – 35.0 per week
