Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly and provide excellent customer service throughout their visit
- Operate POS (Point of Sale) systems to process cash, credit, and debit transactions accurately
- Assist customers with product demos and upselling to enhance their shopping experience
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the cashier area, shelves, and fueling stations
- Stock shelves, merchandise products effectively, and ensure proper signage is displayed
- Handle cash handling duties with accuracy and adhere to cash security protocols
- Provide friendly phone etiquette when answering inquiries or assisting customers remotely
- Promote store specials, loyalty programs, and additional products to increase sales
Requirements
- Previous experience with POS systems or cashiering is preferred but not required; training will be provided
- Strong communication skills and the ability to engage confidently with customers in bilingual environments are a plus
- Experience in retail sales, grocery store operations, or merchandising is advantageous
- Basic math skills for handling transactions and balancing registers accurately
- Demonstrated customer service skills with a friendly, professional attitude
- Supervising experience or leadership skills are beneficial for potential advancement opportunities
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks such as stocking shelves or cleaning areas
