What are the responsibilities and job description for the Physical Therapy Registration Clerk position at Lake Granbury Medical Center?
Greets patients, family, visitors, vendors when entering the facility. Answers phone, communicates directly with patients and therapists. Collaborates with patients and therapists for scheduling. Assists in putting together patient charts, evaluation/registration paperwork. Assists in end of day procedures when clinic closing. Collects information from incoming patients regarding services needed, insurance available, or financial status. Assists patients in completion of pre therapy and pre admission paperwork. Contacts insurance providers to verify coverage and obtain authorization for service. Performs a variety of clinic related tasks. Works under immediate supervision of Therapy Director. Reports to the Therapy Director.
Requires a high school diploma or equivalent and six months related experience. Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within particular field.
Schedule is M-Th 7:30am - 6:00pm (or when the last patient exits building)
