Job Summary
As a Housekeeping and Maintenance Worker, you’ll keep shared spaces clean, sanitary, safe, and ready for use. You’ll handle daily cleaning and floor care, operate cleaning equipment, and complete routine facilities maintenance. You’ll also respond courteously to requests from occupants and visitors. Your impact: Consistent cleaning and timely upkeep help people use well-maintained spaces with confidence.
Responsibilities
- Clean and sanitize rooms, common areas, and workspaces using appropriate methods and chemical agents.
- Operate cleaning equipment, including floor buffers, and perform floor care and buffing.
- Complete routine maintenance tasks, including basic repairs and residential painting.
- Follow chemical handling safety procedures, safety protocols, and safe lifting practices when moving supplies or equipment.
- Provide helpful customer service and support housekeeping, custodial, porter, commercial, and industrial cleaning duties as needed.
Requirements
- Cleaning, janitorial, custodial, or porter experience is preferred; commercial or industrial cleaning experience is an asset.
- Knowledge of sanitation, floor care, cleaning equipment, and floor buffers is preferred.
- Ability to handle chemical agents safely and follow established procedures.
- Ability to perform manual handling and heavy lifting using safe lifting practices.
- Reliability, attention to detail, a service-focused approach, and willingness to complete routine facilities maintenance tasks.
Pay: $16.00 - $21.40 per hour
Expected hours: 35.0 – 40.0 per week
