- Employee and Applicant Records: Maintain confidentiality and handle employment-related inquiries. Assist with management of employee records and benefits.
- Onboarding/Offboarding: Coordinate pre-employment screening processes, onboarding procedures, as well as post-employment offboarding checklists.
- Risk Management: Serve as City’s claims coordinator by administering workers' compensation and liability claims.
- Communications: Maintain the City’s intranet. Assemble monthly employee newsletter.
- Committee Involvement: Represent HR Department on various City committees including Employee Activities, Benefits, and Executive Safety.
- Employee Engagement and Wellness: Oversee administration of the City’s wellness program. Partner on employee engagement activities.
- Compensation Analysis: Research and update compensation and benefits data relative to comparable communities and private sector businesses.
- Day-to-Day Duties: Schedule and coordinate meetings and appointments. Assist with payroll processing, timekeeping, accounts payable, and purchase orders.
- Other duties as assigned.
High school diploma or equivalent (G.E.D.) with three to five years of office clerical experience, preferably in HR, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Annual Salary: $62,987-$90,760, depending on qualifications

Hours Worked: Monday-Friday between 8 a.m. and 4:30 p.m.
