Position Summary:
Lake Forest Country Club is seeking a dynamic and experienced Dining Services Manager to oversee all aspects of our dining operations. This role is responsible for delivering exceptional food and beverage experiences to our members and guests, maintaining the highest standards of service, and managing a team of front-of-house staff. The ideal candidate combines strong leadership, operational expertise, and a passion for hospitality in a private club environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and supervise all dining operations, including casual dining, fine dining, banquets, and special events.
- Recruit, train, and manage a high-performing team of servers, hosts, and dining staff, fostering a culture of excellence and teamwork.
- Ensure a consistently outstanding member and guest experience by maintaining service standards and attention to detail.
- Collaborate with culinary leadership to coordinate menus, wine pairings, and seasonal offerings.
- Manage scheduling, labor costs, and dining budgets to maximize operational efficiency while maintaining quality.
- Oversee inventory, ordering, and supplies to ensure smooth operations.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and sanitation standards.
- Work with event and banquet teams to plan and execute member events and private functions.
- Handle member feedback and service recovery with professionalism and discretion.
- Prepare reports on dining operations, including financial performance, guest satisfaction, and staffing metrics.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management, Business, or related field preferred.
- 3–5 years of experience in high-end dining management, private clubs, or fine-dining restaurants.
- Strong leadership, team-building, and staff development skills.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills, with the ability to interact with high-profile members and guests.
- Proficiency in POS systems, scheduling software, and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations, with ServSafe certification preferred.
- Flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
