Job Summary
We are seeking a high-energy Assistant Food & Beverage Manager for the 2026 season. This role requires a leader with a deep background who can oversee kitchen operations, maintain high food standards, and support the broader F&B team. You will be the bridge between our culinary and service teams, ensuring every guest has a seamless and exceptional experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Culinary Leadership: Oversee daily kitchen workflows, ensuring food quality, portion control, and presentation meet our standards. Step onto the line during peak periods to lead by example.
- Operations & Beverage Management: Assist in managing the bar program, including inventory, drink quality, and compliance with alcohol service laws.
- Staff Supervision: Train, mentor, and schedule a seasonal team of cooks, servers, and bartenders.
- Inventory & Safety: Order and receive supplies, conduct monthly inventory counts, and enforce strict health, safety, and sanitation standards (HACCP).
- Administrative Support: Utilize Point of Sale (POS) systems to track sales, manage labor costs, and resolve customer billing inquiries.
Required Qualifications
- Strong Culinary Background: Experience in high-volume cooking or kitchen management.
- Management Experience: Proven ability to lead a diverse team in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
- Beverage Knowledge: Base understanding of bar operations, craft cocktails, or wine service.
- Education: Culinary arts degree (Not required but a plus) or hospitality management training preferred.
- Certifications: Valid Food Handlers Card and Alcohol Service Certification not required but also a plus (e.g., ServSafe or TIPS).
Preferred Skills
- Technical Savvy: Proficiency with modern POS systems (e.g., Shift4 / Toast / Square ) and basic office software for reporting.
- Seasoned Adaptability: Experience working in seasonal or resort environments with fluctuating demand.
